Psychotherapy is a collaborative process. My goal is to create a space where we can talk and think together about the particular difficulties you are experiencing and how to find a way through. I have learned to listen carefully and will approach our conversations with an attitude of curiosity and acceptance. Although starting therapy may feel like a big precarious step, it generally provides a valuable opportunity to get oneself unstuck and moving forward-feeling more fulfilled in everyday life, work, and relationships.
I work from a modern analytic perspective—essentially a collaborative, relationship-based, talk therapy rooted in psychoanalytic principles. My style is thoughtful, interactive and engaged. While I believe that part of who you are is where you come from—I understand that other parts of life can feel much more pressing in the moment. We will generally begin with where you are today and see where that leads us. I may also integrate various treatment modalities or make referrals as needed.
I have a general, LGBTQ+ friendly practice and welcome all individual children, adolescents, adults and couples looking to address their unique difficulties as outlined below.
